Castle Geyser

The Castle Geyser is located in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park in the United States. He belongs to the nozzle-like geysers.

The Castle Geyser has one of the largest cone and one of the oldest geysers of the basin. The age of the cone is estimated at 5,000 to 15,000 years. His outburst pattern has changed significantly in the course of history. Nowadays, you can expect all 10 to 12 hours with a larger eruption of Castle Geyser. The eruption takes it up to an hour. First, there is a constant output of about 20 minutes, water that reaches a height of up to 27 m. This water fountain is followed by a 30 to 40 minute-long phase noisy steam emissions.
