Catalina Island, Dominican Republic

The approximately 9 km ² island of Isla Catalina, called by the indigenous population also Toeya, is located in the east of the Dominican Republic about 3 km southwest of the mainland two kilometers south of the coastal town of La Romana. It has a roughly triangular plan. However, it is part of the more eastern province of La Altagracia, is there to Bayahibe district of the municipality of San Rafael del Yuma.

The island is uninhabited. There are beaches that are often driven by tourist boats on its west coast.
