Catherine Wheel

Catherine Wheel was a British band from Great Yarmouth, England. They named themselves after a firecracker, the wheel of fire (English: " Catherine Wheel ").

The band formed in 1990 in the occupation of Rob Dickinson - a cousin of Bruce Dickinson, singer of Iron Maiden - (vocals, guitar), Brian Feed ( guitar), Dave Hawes (bass) and Neil Sims (drums). They were attributed to the shoegazing scene. Her debut ferment got mostly good reviews and included the hit " Black Metallic. " Their second album, Chrome joined the shoegazing sound with considerably harder sound colors. With their third album Happy Days, the band went even more in the direction of hard rock, which was a mixed response in the press and the fans. Her fourth album, Adam & Eve (1997), the band was back on a more atmospheric course, heavily influenced by the late Talk Talk. The feedback orgies of the early days were abandoned in favor of a more delicate, more contemplative sound. After her 2000 album Wish Ville flopped, the band ended their collaboration.

Food and Sims work together as a 50ft monster Ellis plays at Serafin and Dickinson published in September 2005 a solo album called Fresh Wine for the Horses. 2006 Dickinson went together with the Australian psychedelic rock band The Church on U.S. tour.
