Catherine Woodville, Duchess of Buckingham

Katherine Woodville (also Katherine Wydeville ) (* probably in 1458, † 1497 ) was an English aristocrat who is best known for the number of their influential husbands and for their famous children. They owed ​​their positions largely to her sister, Elizabeth Woodville, wife of Edward IV of England.

Katherine and her sister were the daughters of Richard Woodville, 1st Earl Rivers and Jacquetta of Luxembourg.

Her first husband was Henry Stafford, 2nd Duke of Buckingham. They were married some time before the coronation of Elizabeth in May 1465; both at the time were still children. They had four children, the first was born in 1478. After Buckingham's execution for treason, she married Jasper Tudor, 1st Duke of Bedford, who died in 1495. Her third husband was Sir Richard Wingfield, who survived.
