Cathy Carr (swimmer)

Catherine L. " Cathy " Carr ( born May 27, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico) is a former swimmer from the United States.

Her biggest success in swimmers celebrated at the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972, when she could beat the big favorite Galina Prozumenshikowa over 100 m breaststroke and Olympic champion over this distance was. They also won the 4 x 100 m medley relay of the United States.

After her career as a swimmer, she was a teacher.

In 1988, she was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
