Caussade

Caussade is a commune with a population of 6638 ( effective 1st January 2011) and the capital of a canton of the same. It lies on the left bank of the river Lère.

The city is famous in France for its hat production. The best-known version is the boater.

Regular events

  • Fête du chapeau: the ' fête du chapeau ', the ' hard hat ' is held annually in July to honor the long-standing tradition.
  • Big fresh market every Monday morning will be held one of the largest fresh markets in the region. From fruits, vegetables, sausage and specialties from the region you will find everything the gourmet desires. During the winter months you can even acquire controlled truffles of the region.

  • Old Town: worth seeing is the old center of town around the church.
