Montech
Montech on the Garonne is a municipality in south-western France and is part of the Tarn- et- Garonne. The municipality has 5793 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). The town is located on the National Road RD 928 and the Autoroute des Deux Mers ( A62 ).
Demography
Montech can record a steady population growth since the 1960s. Since 1962 the population has increased by 29.3 %.
Traffic
The Canal de Garonne forms the extension of the Canal du Midi west of Toulouse. Both channels together allow a navigable link between the Mediterranean Sea, at Sète, and the Atlantic Ocean, near Bordeaux. The community is mainly through the water wedge boat lift in the course of the Lateral Canal à la Garonne ( German: Canal de Garonne ) nationally known.
