Çavdarhisar is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Kütahya. The city is located about 40 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital of Kütahya.

The district is located in the center of the province. It is bordered to the south by Gediz, on the north by Emet and on the east by Aslanapa. The county town is situated on the highway D -240, which leads from Bergama on the Aegean coast to Kütahya. Due to the location of the river Kocasu Dere, the ancient Penkala flows. He is dammed southwest of the city in the reservoir Çavdarhisar Baraji.

Attractions

In Çavdarhisar and west of the city lie the ruins of ancient Aizanoi. These include the Temple of Zeus, a combination of stadium and theater, a bathroom and the Penkalasbrücke.
