CE-ATA
Consumer Electronics Advanced Technology Attachment, mostly short CE -ATA, is a specification for miniature hard drives with MMC interface on small electronic devices such as cell phones, PDA and MP3 players. It is an optimized subset of the ATA / ATAPI command set.
The specification ( presented at the Intel Developer Forum in September 2004 ) was adopted on 2 March 2005 and extended on 27 July 2005. Consortium members, for example, Apple, Hitachi, Intel, Marvell, Nokia, Seagate and Toshiba.
It is based on the MMC specifications 4.31/4.0 and ATA -6 ( NCITS 347-2001 ). It only allows the connection of a hard disk memory. CE-ATA has fewer connector pins and to make do with lower voltage and lower energy consumption. The first pattern based on a 1.8 "form factor.
