Celia Rees

Celia Rees ( born June 17, 1949 in Solihull, United Kingdom ) is a British author.

Born and raised she is in Solihull, West Midlands. At the University of Warwick, she studied politics and history, it was particularly interested in American history. She taught for ten years English at a secondary school until they finally came to writing through a course at the University of Birmingham. In 1993 she published her first novel Every Step You Take ( German: Steps on the Edge ).

Before she started in 1997 to work as a freelance writer, she published more youth books. Her biggest success came with the book Witch Child ( German: Witch Child), which was released in 15 countries. In total, she published 17 books, including eleven published in German, and the HAUNTS Series. Celia Rees lives with her husband Terry in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Their daughter Catrin lives and works in London.

Publications

City of Shadows, A Trap in Time and The Host Rides Out are reworkings of HAUNTS Series, which was released in 1998.
