Celles-sur-Belle

Celles- sur -Belle is a commune with 3744 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Deux -Sèvres in the Poitou -Charentes; it belongs to the administrative district in the canton of Niort and Celles- sur- Belle, whose capital it is.

Geography

The community is located about 150 kilometers south-east of Nantes and 55 kilometers southwest of Poitiers.

  • Saint-Romans -les -Melle in the southeast,

The place is located in the far north of the municipal territory is crossed by the River Belle. Further south are also situated on the river, the places Verrines sous Celle and Montigné were the independent communities until 1972.
