Celtel

Starting as MSI Cellular Investments operated the daughter of the Kuwaiti Zain Group's mobile phone under the name used from 2004 to 2008 Celtel a GSM network in several countries of Africa. As a special feature Celtel offered to its network across national borders without roaming surcharges extra. This referred to the countries of Gabon, Kenya, the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and Tanzania. In 2008, Celtel changed the brand name to Zain. In 2010 the company was sold to Bharti Airtel and changed his name to Airtel Africa.
