Central Election Commission of Albania

The Central Election Commission (Albanian Komisioni Qendror i Zgjedhjeve, short KSC, English Central Elections Commission, CEC) is a state collegiate body in Albania, the elections and referendums prepared, supervises, directs, and published their results.

Composition

The Commission consists of seven members who are elected by the Parliament in the four -year cycle. After the new template of the Constitution of Albania was accepted by the people in 1998, foresaw the law that the Central Election Commission consists of seven members, two of the President, three by the High Judicial Council and two are appointed by the Parliament. In 2008, this regulation was changed in favor of the Parliament, which now selects all seven members. Four of them are determined by the government and three by the opposition.
