Centre International de Formation EuropÃ©enne

The Centre international de formation européenne (abbreviated: CIFE, International Centre for European Training ) is a private non-profit organization, was founded in 1954. The CIFE is comprised of various institutes and European study programs, conferences and seminars. A magazine, books and brochures published in his own publishing house. National Sections of the CIFE exist in most EU Member States. The CIFE is promoted among others by the European Union as well as from donations and foundations. The CIFE offers postgraduate courses, seminars, online academies, conferences and summer schools.

Matthias Waechter is the successor of Hartmut Marhold who has the CIFE conducted since 2002. Hartmut Marhold will continue to work for the CIFE as director of research and development.

European Online Academy

The European Online Academy ( EOA ) provides information about the European Union. Participants can complete a one-year course (Certificate in EU Studies Online) or a two-year degree program (Master in EU Studies Online). The Master in EU Studies ' (60 ECTS) provides knowledge to key roles in administration and science. There is the possibility to specialize in politics, European law, economics. Courses are conducted via the Internet and through intercultural meetings in various cities in Europe.

Master of European and International Studies

In 1964, the CIFE the Institut Européen des Hautes Études Internationales ( IEHEI ). Together they offer the Master of European and International Studies ( MAEIS ) in a three -speaking branch and an English-speaking branch. The training lasts one year and the Master's degree is awarded after a final written and oral examination and the writing of a Master's thesis. Students acquire this 60 ECTS points.

Trilingual branch

The trilingual branch of the Master in Advanced European and International Studies was founded in the 1960s. Languages are German, English and French. The program takes place (seven months ) and in Berlin (two months) in Nice. The lesson is divided into modules International Relations, European Integration, Economy and globalization as well as federalism and governance. The third part of the program begins with a study trip to European and international institutions.

The Institute for European Politics ( IEP ) and the Centre International de Formation Européenne ( CIFE ) offer an online Master Study Programme in Studies on The European Union and Central Asia in the International System. The Volkswagen Foundation supports the online master's program financially.

The Master course is designed for graduates and young professionals from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and the Chinese province of Xinjiang.

European Senior Online Academy

The European Senior Online Academy ( EASO ) is organizing training for seniors. ESOA combines learning on the Internet with on-site seminars in Europe. At the same time the exchange of knowledge with professionals and students should be encouraged.

In the program part " (hi) story telling in Europe" should be addressed by structured, didactically instructed telling, interviews, autobiographical testimonies and diaries of life and history in Europe and preserved in a narrative archive.

Evening courses, seminars and symposia

The CIFE offers in European countries to evening classes to enhance knowledge on the subject of "European Union". These courses are usually held by a professor or EU staff on a specific topic related to the EU, weekly or bi- monthly.

Publications

L'Europe en formation

The main themes of the quarterly journal, the European unification, international relations, European social models and issues of federalism. Each issue contains scientific analyzes on a specific topic, scientific contributions, comments on current affairs as well as a report on the political developments in Europe and the world.

Le Courrier de l'Europe

In cooperation with the Office of Publications Européennes the Centre International de Formation Européenne ( CIFE ), the independent European political magazine ' Le Courrier de l'Europe ' was founded in the 2000s. This publication - in English and French - aims a platform for the exchange of information on European issues to offer. ' Le Courrier de l'Europe ' is issued to European policy makers.
