Centrocaspian Dictatorship

The Zentralkaspische dictatorship (Russian Диктатура Центрокаспия / Diktatura Zjentrokaspija ) was a short-lived state in the peninsula Absheron in Azerbaijan today, was founded on August 1, 1918. The name of this state is due to the limiting position of the occupied territory to the Caspian Sea. The Zentralkaspische dictatorship was not recognized by the international community. Unable to stop the Turkish troops at the Battle of Baku, Dunsterville left the city vacate after six weeks of siege on 14 September and withdrew to Iran.
