Potter's angelfish ( Centropyge potteri ) lives in the Pacific in Hawaii, but was also seen at the Midway Islands and at Johnston Atoll. He prefers outer reefs, rocky and gravel ground at depths of less than ten meters to 138 meters; Juveniles stay in depths greater than five meters. The representatives of this frequently occurring species never leave the immediate vicinity of their respective hiding place. Potter's angelfish feeds on algae and detritus. Its main breeding season is from mid- December to May. It spawns at dusk, respectively, in the week before the full moon.

Features

This dwarf angelfish species is ten inches long. It is covered by an orange color and of a reticulated mesh green horizontal stripes. Dorsal, caudal and anal fins have bright blue stripes. Breast and pelvic fins are bright orange yellow.
