Cerro Chato is a city in the center of Uruguay.
Geography
Located in the Cuchilla Grande City has the peculiarity that it is distributed on the territory of three departments. Part of the city is located in the southeastern part Duraznos in its sector 8, while the other parts are located on the 4th sector of the department of Florida, and in the 6th sector of the department of Treinta y Tres. Northeast of the village is the same mountain. In the urban area of Rio arise both Yi and the Arroyo sauce, while a few kilometers north-east of Arroyo Valija has its origin. The Cerro Chato closest major settlement to the south is Valentines.
History
On November 17, 1964 Cerro Chato was awarded the status of villa by Law No. 13,299.

Population
Cerro Chato had in the census in the year 2011 1.124 inhabitants (550 male and 574 female ) in the department of Durazno, 409 (197 male and 212 female ) in the department of Florida and 1,694 (815 male and 879 female ) in the department of Treinta y Tres, for a total 3,227 inhabitants. 2004, there were 1,099 inhabitants in the department of Durazno, 518 in the department of Florida and 1,661 in the department Treinta y Tres, a total of 3,279 inhabitants.
