Cesare I. Gonzaga

I. Cesare Gonzaga (* September 6, 1536 probably in Sicily, † February 17, 1575 ) was the son of the imperial general Ferrante I Gonzaga, who founded the line Guastalla.

Cesare I himself was Count of Guastalla and Duke of Amalfi (his father was Viceroy of Sicily). He married Camilla Borromeo 1560 and had two children with her, including Ferrante II Gonzaga, who was raised to the Duke of Guastalla.
