The Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake is predominantly a military airfield of the Royal Canadian Air Force, which is located near the city of Cold Lake in Alberta, Canada. This is one of two airfields on which the CF-18 Hornet fighter planes are stationed. The base is Hauptstationierungsort of the 4th Squadron ( 4 Wing ). On the site there is a civilian airport terminal. This serves only domestic destinations. The airport is classified as an international airport by the Canadian air traffic control, but only flies the Military Airport internationally. The terminal is located at the other end of the site.
