Chairmen of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The United States Bureau of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, divided into the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska, each formed by a Bosniak, a Croat and a Serb Bosnians. The Chair of the Presidency changes since 1998 every eight months between the three ethnic groups.

The first election to the state presidency was held on 14 September 1996.

Note: Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the few countries in the world, whose head of state is not occupied persona liter: Legal representative of the sovereign peoples of the Federation is the ethnic- parity state presidency.
