Chaka of Bulgaria

Chaka ( Bulgarian Чака: *, † 1300 in Tarnovo ) or Chaka Nogai was a Mongol ruler and 1299-1300 Tsar of Bulgaria. Chaka was the son of Kara Nogai Khan, a leader of the Golden Horde.

After losing to the legitimate Khan of the Golden Horde, Tokta Chaka fled in the fall of 1299 with his wife (daughter of Georgi I. Tartar ) and Todor Svetoslav to Bulgaria, where he occupied the throne of Ivan IV Smilez. Even in 1300 his brother Todor Svetoslav plunged him by the Bulgarian throne and settled, a proclamation throughout the Boljarenrat whose majority he was able to secure before the Bulgarian tsar. He let Chaka murder and then get his head as a gift Tokta.

Family

Chaka was married to the sister of Todor Svetoslav, daughter of Georgi I. Tartar. With her he had a son, Kara Kücük.
