Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay

The Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay (Spanish: Cámara de Deputies ) is the lower house in the bicameral legislature of Paraguay. It forms together with the Senate, the Congress ( Congresso Nacional). Its seat is located in the capital Asunción.

In the House of Representatives 80 members are elected for five years after the proportional representation. To be elected to must have been completed on the day of election the age of 25.

Deputies are elected in individual constituencies, which correspond to the departments. The number of representatives to be elected depends on the population number.
