Chamberlain (South Dakota)

Chamberlain is a city in Brule County, South Dakota in the United States.

Geography

Chamberlain is the seat of the district of Brule County and is located on the left, here the east bank of the Missouri River. History

Chamberlain was founded in 1881, her namesake was Selah Chamberlain, a railroad operator. In the city, the South Dakota Hall of Fame.

Just a few kilometers north of Chamberlain, the National Historic Landmark is the excavations on Crow Creek massacre. The site has been protected since 1964 and registered since 1966 in the directory as a National Historic Site.
