Chandris Line
Chandris is a Greek shipping company ( headquartered in London) and a hotel chain.
History
The shipping company was founded in 1915 by John D. Chandris from Chios. 1922, the company entered the passenger shipping. In 1973, the first Chandris hotels were opened. In the 1980s, the cruise business has been outsourced to the companies Fantasy Cruises and Celebrity Cruises. The latter moved its headquarters to Miami and later merged with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, at the since Chandris is a minority shareholder. Celebrity Cruises has been preserved as a brand and runs continue under the Chandris logo with the characteristic X.
