Chang Chen

Chang Chen (Chinese张震, Pinyin Zhen Zhang, born October 14, 1976 in Taipei) is a Taiwanese actor. His father is the actor Zhang Guozhu (张国柱).

Life

In 1990 was chosen by director Edward Yang Chang Chen for the lead role of the film Bright summer day (牯 岭 街 少年 杀人 事件). His father played the role of the father of the main character in the same movie. In Ang Lee's film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon ( 2000) played Chang (on the side of the actress Zhang Ziyi ) the role of the bandit Luo Xiao Hu, called the "Black Cloud ". Also in Wong Kar- Wai's film 2046 (2004), he took a leading role. For his performance in Tian Zhuangzhuangs film The Go Master ( 2006) Chang was " Best Actor " nominated for the Golden Horse Award in the category. 2008 Chang will be seen in John Woo's film The Battle of Red Cliffs in the role of warlord Sun Quan.
