Change Partners is a song from the soundtrack of the movie musicals Sorgenfrei by Dr. Flagg - Carefree. Was written and composed the song by Irving Berlin. It is sung in the film by Fred Astaire. In the song the singer asks a woman if she would dance with the same man forever, as they have done throughout the evening, and asks her to dance with him again, and even offers to leave the former dance partner pick up the line, to lure him from the woman. The singer is sure that the woman may never want to dance again with another partner, if she has been only once with him on the dance floor ( "then / you may never want to change partners again" ).

In 1938, the song also by Larry Clinton, Jimmy Dorsey, Bunny Berigan, Eddie Carroll Jan Savitt, Glenn Miller and 1941 was recorded in Germany by Charlie and His Orchestra. There are various other cover versions of the title, among other things, Herb Geller, Tommy Flanagan, Charlie Byrd, Yehudi Menuhin and Stephane Grappelli. Tom Lord lists in the field of jazz total of 116 versions of the song.

Change Partners was in 1938 in the version of Fred Astaire eight weeks placed No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard charts as well as in other charts in the 1930s at the forefront with this.
