Charlene Rendina
Charlene Louise Rendina born Neighbour ( born December 18, 1947) is an Australian athlete, the 400 and 800 m was successful in the 1970s as a runner. She participated in two Olympic Games.

Achievements
Charlene Rendina was initially 200 and 400 m, before additional specialized from 1970 to 400 m and from 1973 to the 800 - m- Distenz. She was twice win the national championship double.
In 1972, she represented her country at the Olympic Games in Munich at the 400 - m range. - 800 m: Gold in 2:01,11 min before the New Zealander Sue Haden ( silver in 2:02,04 min)
- 400 m: bronze in 52.08 s after the starting of Canada Yvonne Saunders ( gold in 51.67 s ) and the British Verona Elder ( silver in 51.94 s )
- 4x400 m (with Charlene Rendina as first leg ): Silver in 3:30,7 min behind Great Britain ( gold in 3:29,2 min).
In 1976, their second participation in the Olympic Games. In Montreal, she started over 800 m and reached there to the semifinals, where they had to finish in fifth place in 2:00,29 min the competition. By this time she had come in the final to eighth and last place, as the first seven runners remained under the 2- minute limit. With the season in which they went into the race as a third runner, she came in excellent 3:25,56 min at number four.
In the following years their power curve went back. In the Commonwealth Games 1978 in Edmonton, she came over 800m in 2:04,82 min only in eighth place, just two seconds behind the victorious Judith Peckham born Canty. ( In the Australian 4x400 m relay team that won silver, it was not represented ). At the end of her career in 1979 she won the World Cup in Montreal in 2:02,62 minutes once a respectable fifth place.
