Charles Band

Charles Band (* December 27, 1951 in Los Angeles, California) is an American film director, screenwriter and producer of numerous B- movies mostly from the sci-fi, fantasy and horror field.

Life

His father Albert band was just as he director and film producer. His debut as a director was Charles Band in 1973 with the film Last Foxtrot in Burbank, he turned under the pseudonym Carlo Bokino and produced. His brother Richard band has been working as a film composer. The two have worked together several times.

Among the best known films he produced and executive produced, include the Puppet Master and the Trancers film series. So far, he has accompanied more than 250 productions.

In 1983 he founded the production company Empire International Pictures, which went bankrupt in 1989. Subsequently, he founded Full Moon Features.

His son Alex Band from his first marriage was to 2005 the lead singer of the rock band The Calling. Charles Band is a father of four children.

In 1986 band was honored at the Saturn Awards with the George Pal Memorial Award.
