Charles Cooper (actor)
Charles Darwin Cooper ( born August 11, 1926 in San Francisco, California, † November 29, 2013 ) was an American actor, who played a wide variety of roles in television and cinema in the period 1950-2001.
Life and career
Cooper was born on August 11, 1926 in San Francisco. His first experience in acting he had aged 15 years in a stage production of Hamlet in San Francisco.
TV and movies
His film debut successes in 1950 in Mr. H.C. Andersen at the side of Ashley Glynne and Dafydd Havard. This was followed in the 1950s almost exclusively Series appearances, including Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Gunsmoke and Bonanza.
In the 1960s he was still mostly seen in television series including Perry Mason, FBI and The Aquanauts. He also starred in Nancy, an ice cold Playgirl as a senator, along with Ryan O'Neal and Leigh Taylor - Young.
Then he looked again after a long break in 1975 with the television, in the series The Rockford Files - Just call us. In the same year he played a role in the TV film Conspiracy of Terror. In the late 1970s, he starred in Little House and Lou Grant.
He appeared twice with in Star Trek. First 1989 Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, he was seen as a Klingon General Korrd. In the following year he exhibited in Star Trek: The Next Generation Klingon Chancellor K'mpec dar. in two episodes
In the 1990s, he was less active. Cooper played in 1990 for the second time in Dallas. In Twice Under he put the Sergeant Fritz dar. 1995, he introduced the Ty Bodi in Huntress: Spirit of the Night dar. In Vamps, he was seen in the same year as Max. In 1995 he also starred in Panther on the side of Kadeem Hardison, Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance. In several episodes of Practice - The lawyers he asked the Judge Robert Boucher dar.
