Charles Cooper (actor)

Charles Darwin Cooper ( born August 11, 1926 in San Francisco, California, † November 29, 2013 ) was an American actor, who played a wide variety of roles in television and cinema in the period 1950-2001.

Life and career

Cooper was born on August 11, 1926 in San Francisco. His first experience in acting he had aged 15 years in a stage production of Hamlet in San Francisco.

TV and movies

His film debut successes in 1950 in Mr. H.C. Andersen at the side of Ashley Glynne and Dafydd Havard. This was followed in the 1950s almost exclusively Series appearances, including Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Gunsmoke and Bonanza.

In the 1960s he was still mostly seen in television series including Perry Mason, FBI and The Aquanauts. He also starred in Nancy, an ice cold Playgirl as a senator, along with Ryan O'Neal and Leigh Taylor - Young.

In the 1990s, he was less active. Cooper played in 1990 for the second time in Dallas.
