Charles-François-Frédéric, marquis de Montholon-Sémonville

Charles François Frédéric de Montholon Semonville ( born November 27, Paris in 1814, † 1886) was a French ambassador.

Charles François Frédéric de Montholon Semonville was the son of Albina Héléne de Vassal and Charles Tristan de Montholon Sémonvill. His great-great grandfather was Louis Désiré de Montholon Semonville (* October 16, 1765, † 1863), a brother of Charles- Tristan de Montholon. He married on November 1, 1837 in Washington, DC Marie Victioore Grattiot, the daughter of Charles Gratiot.

From 30 July to 10 December 1853 he was consul general and charge d'affaires in Lima. During the French intervention in Mexico, he was ambassador of Napoleon III. at Maximilian I..
