Charles Herlofson

Charles Oluf " Sassa " Herlofson ( born June 15, 1891 in Kristiania, † November 9, 1968 in Oslo) was a Norwegian football player

Life

Herlofson began his football career in his youth Idrætsforeningen Viking Khristiania, now Oslo, until it was dissolved in 1910. Then he went in 1911 to the Oslo Ski and Football Club Mercantile Ski -og Fotballklubb, where he worked intermittently until the final 1920s. In 1912 he also participated in the Summer Olympics in football. Herlofson was Norway's first professional player who also played in Germany, from 1912 at 96 Hanover Herlofson also played for the Norwegian national football team and was from 1910-1915 a total of twelve times for the team in action, eleven years of which as captain, including in the football tournament at the Summer Olympics in 1912 in Sweden.

He was the younger brother of the Norwegian rowers Harald Herlofson.
