Charles McBurney (politician)

Charles W. McBurney Jr. ( born June 6, 1957 in Orlando, Florida) is an American politician ( Republican).

McBurney studied at the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1979, and in 1982 a Juris Doctor. He then became active in Jacksonville as a lawyer.

In 2000, he ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the House of Representatives from Florida. On 18 September 2007 he was elected at a by-election in the House of Representatives from Florida. At the next regular election in 2008, and the subsequent elections in 2010 and 2012 was his re-election.

McBurney is married and has two stepdaughters. The politician William V. Chappell is his stepfather.
