Charles-Philippe Robin
Charles -Philippe Robin ( born June 4, 1821 in Jasseron, Ain department, † October 6, 1885 ) was a French biologist and histologist. His botanical author abbreviation ( he described new species of algae ) is " CPRobin ".
In 1859, he was the successor of the botanist Achille Richard ( 1794-1852 ) to the chair of Natural History at the Faculty of Medicine in Paris. In 1866 he became a member of the Académie des sciences.
