Charles Richard Mulrooney

Charles Richard Mulrooney ( born January 13, 1906 in Brooklyn, USA, † August 5, 1989 ) was Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn.

Life

Charles Richard Mulrooney received on 10 June 1930, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On February 24, 1959, he was named by Pope John XXIII. Titular Bishop of Valentiniana and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn. The Bishop of Brooklyn, Bryan Joseph McEntegart, donated to him on 22 April of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Auxiliary Bishop of New York, James Henry Ambrose Griffiths, and the Coadjutor Bishop of Lafayette in Indiana, John Carberry.

On January 13, 1981 Pope John Paul II accepted the argument put forward by Charles Richard Mulrooney resignation for reasons of age.
