James Henry Ambrose Griffiths

James Henry Ambrose Griffiths ( * July 16, 1903 in Brooklyn, USA, † February 24, 1964 ) was auxiliary bishop in New York.

Life

James Henry Ambrose Griffiths received on 12 March 1927, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On October 15, 1949, he was named by Pope Pius XII. Titular Bishop of Gaza and auxiliary bishop in the U.S. Military Ordinariate. The Archbishop of New York, Francis Cardinal Spellman, donated to him on 18 January 1950, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Brooklyn, Thomas Edmund Molloy, and the auxiliary bishop in the U.S. Military Ordinariate, William Richard Arnold. In September 1955 he was appointed by Pope Pius XII. auxiliary bishop in New York.
