Charles Ritchie (diplomat)
Charles Stewart Almon Ritchie ( born September 23, 1906 in Halifax, Nova Scotia; † 7 June 1995), was a Canadian diplomat.
Life
Ritchie came from a prominent family in Nova Scotia. His brother Roland Ritchie became a judge of the Supreme Court of Canada and thus continued a family tradition. 1969 Charles Ritchie was admitted to the Order of Canada. He received honorary doctorates in 1976 by Trent University in 1992 from York University and Carleton University.
