Charles Robert Connell

Charles Robert Connell ( born September 22 1864 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, † September 26, 1922 ) was an American politician. In the years 1921 and 1922 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Charles Connell was the son of Congressman William Connell ( 1827-1909 ). He attended the common schools and then to 1884 the Williston Academy in Easthampton (Massachusetts ). He then worked for some time with his father in the trade. He also became involved in the banking industry and in various craft industries. Since 1888 until his death, he led the company Scranton Button Co. Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party.

In the congressional elections of 1920, Connell was in the tenth electoral district of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of John R. Farr on 4 March 1921. This mandate in Congress, he was able to exercise until his death on 26 September 1922.
