The venue is the Hyde Park in Chicago. Calder Pillay and Petra Andalee visit there, the Laboratory was founded by John Dewey in 1896 and the University affiliated school. In this school, the learning is built entirely on experience ( "learning by doing "). Calder has always been a set of pentominoes in his pocket. From case to case, he pulls out one of the 12 stones and takes the embodied letters as a hint, how to behave on.

A theft happened at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC: The " letter writer in Yellow" was stolen. In newspaper advertisements, the thief explains his act: He wants to bring about a rethink: All must see that some pictures Vermeer are erroneous attributions.

Through the reading of "There! " inspired: ( in the original! " Lo", 1931) by Charles Fort, Calder and Petra make it to regain the image.
