Chaya Arbel

Chaya Arbel (Hebrew חיה ארבל; born June 18, 1921 in Nuremberg, † 2007) was an Israeli composer.

After while her music studies from Germany, she emigrated to Palestine in 1936, she worked for 25 years in Kibbutz Hamapil. Then she decided to end her studies with Leon Schidlowsky. Her work has received several awards. In Germany especially their setting of the diary of Anne Frank is known also wrote several pieces for orchestra and instrumental music ( ACUM Award for "Dialogue for Clarinet and Orchestra ").
