Cheddleton

Cheddleton is a locality in central England. It is located in the district of Staffordshire Moorlands in Staffordshire, near the town of Leek, approximately midway between the major cities of Birmingham and Manchester.

Geography

Cheddleton is in the Roaches, an undulating landscape with characteristic farmsteads, some of which date back to the 11th century. The hills are suitable for agricultural meadows and pasture farming.

  • Cauldon Canal, a former waterway
  • Old railway line Churnet Valley Railway, a steam locomotive is in the summer on their operated

Twinning

Since May 1989 Cheddleton has twinned with Mitter pond where a street is named after the sister city. Both towns maintain their partnership through regular mutual visits and contacts.
