Chica Umino

Chika Umino (Japanese羽 海野 チカ, Chika Umino, born August 30, 19xx in the prefecture of Tokyo, Japan ) is a Japanese manga artist.

After working as a designer and illustrator, she published her first comic book in 2000 as a professional illustrator in the manga magazine Comic Cutie. This debut album was the first episode of her manga series Honey and Clover, in which it comes to love and everyday lives of five fellow art students. The comic book series joined in 2001 by comic cutie into circulation stronger You Young and, following cessation of the chorus, in which it was completed in 2006.

Honey and Clover was for Umino breakthrough. She won the Kodansha Manga Award for the approximately 1700 -page manga in 2003 and was nominated in 2004 for the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize -.
