Chichiri Museum

The Museum of Malawi (English Museum of Malawi, Chichiri Museum also ) in the city of Blantyre is the cultural and natural history national museum of Malawi.

The permanent exhibition shows important moments in the cultural and historical development of the country from prehistory to the independence of Malawi. In addition, it has an important collection of insects and geological samples, including meteorites Machinga of 1981. Outside the museum large exhibits documenting, for the development of transport infrastructure in the country.

The museum offers mobile museum educational programs that are supposed to reach school children in rural areas.
