Chico Slimani

Yousseph "Chico" Slimani (born 1971 ) is a British singer of Moroccan descent. He became known in late 2005 in his home country by the talent show The X Factor.

Slimani was born in Wales. Shortly after his birth, his family returned to Morocco. There he grew up as a goat herder. At the age of 14, he moved back over to the UK and settled in Crawley (West Sussex ). In the following years he made ​​his way with different jobs. Among other things, he worked as a hairdresser, electrician and stripper. Eventually he joined the dance group Extreme Force.
