Chie Shinohara

Chie Shinohara (Japanese筱 原 千 絵, Shinohara Chie; * February 15, 19xx in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan ) is a Japanese manga artist.

Life

In 1981 Chie Shinohara with Akai Densetsu her first manga as a professional illustrator. The short story was published in the winter edition of the Manga magazine Coronet, which published the Shogakukan publishing. Your first ongoing manga series she drew with Yami no Purple Eye from 1984 until 1987. This series is about a girl who is able to transform into a leopard, won the 1987 Shogakukan Manga Award and in 1996 was as elfteiliges TV drama filmed with Hinagata Akiko Kato Haruhiko and in the lead roles.

Shinohara's Next Manga was the over 3,000 -page Umi no Yami, Tsuki no kage where she worked from 1987 to 1991. In it she tells the story of two sisters with supernatural abilities. Her biggest success was the author in 1995 with the History Manga Anatolia Story, which is about a modern Japanese girl is pulled from standing water in an ancient world. Anatolia Story, which has a volume of over 5,000 pages, has been translated, among others, into German, English and French. The manga won the Shogakukan Manga Award and was one of Japan's most commercially successful shōjo manga of the 1990s.
