The following table lists the Chief Minister of Delhi with tenure and party affiliation. Delhi had from 1950 to 1956 the status of a federal state and was therefore governed by a Chief Minister. From 1956 to 1992, there was union territory and reported directly to the central government. Since 1992, the name National Capital Territory of Delhi and the Office of the Chief Minister has been reintroduced.
