Chiemgauer Volkstheater

The Chiemgau National Theatre, under the leadership of Bernd Helfrich and his wife Mona Freiberg, is a theater company from Bavaria. On his tours can be seen especially in the Chiemgau, but also in other Bavarian cities. Toured the Chiemgau folk theater after Baden- Württemberg and Austria.

Emergence of the theater

The Chiemgau People's Theatre was founded in 1929 by Georg Truk. The parents of Bernd Helfrich, Amsi core and Lothar core, the director of the ensemble took over in 1964, but separated in the same year. Lothar core was previously already been artistic director of the Tegernsee popular theater. After separating from her husband took over Amsi core sole responsibility as director for the Chiemgau popular theater.

In 1984, Amsi core ( † 2002), the line of her son, Bernd Helfrich, and his wife continue to run it to this day.

In March 2009, the 150th Theater TV production records was included with the Bayerischer Rundfunk. Since 1992, the ensemble can already be seen on TV, only at Sat.1 and since 1995 jointly and successfully with the Bavarian Radio. 2009 already the 125th Theater recording with the BR was produced. Annually, there are a total of 10 new TV productions, which are recorded on 2 consecutive days with audiences in Munich and the BR- production team. The records were previously sent every second Friday, currently only sent to selected Sundays from 19.45 clock in the Bavarian television.
