Chiu Chi Ling

Chiu Chi-ling (Chinese赵志凌, Pinyin Zhao Zhiling ) ( born January 20, 1943) is a Chinese actor and martial arts grandmaster. He has the 10th Master degree in Hung Gar Kung Fu.

Life

Chiu Chi Ling was born in 1943 as the youngest son of Chiu Kow and Shiu Ying in the province of Canton. At the age of six, he began with the kung fu training under his famous father. At 15, he began to assist Chiu Kow in treating patients in its hospitals and medical practices. The Chiu family is known for its bone healing ( " Dit Da "). Later, he also helped in the teaching of Hung Gar Kung Fu. Chi Ling was lucky enough to be taught by Mok Lan Gwei, the fourth wife of the famous throughout China Wong Fei Hung, personally at a young age.

In the 70s, when Chiu Kow put to rest, Chiu Chi Ling took over the school management. Chiu Chi Ling in 1971 opened his own Kung Fu school in Hong Kong at the famous Nathan Road in Kowloon. A year later he married his wife Chen Yuk Liang.

Before 1995 Hong Kong was returned to China, Chiu Chi Ling closed his school and emigrated to America.

Today, Grandmaster Chiu travels a lot to make the world aware of the Hung Gar Kung Fu.

Movies

As in the 1970s arose a real kung fu movie boom, Chiu Chi Ling was repeatedly asked if he would play in movies. He declined the offers, not from, but renounced always lead roles. He preferred smaller supporting roles and devoted himself to prefer working in the background. He helped in more than 70 films as a technical consultant, choreographer and chiropractor. Many film actors, including Jackie Chan, Chow Yun Fat and Stephen Chow, Chiu Chi Ling could be preparing for battle scenes and instruct.

Some of the most famous movies with Chiu Chi Ling are Kung Fu Hustle, The Snake in the Eagle's Shadow, along with Jackie Chan and duel of the seven tigers.

He also produced an instructional video which various Hung -Gar Kung Fu exercises and the entire Tiger Crane form shows.

In addition to his film career Chiu Chi Ling also cultivated a brief career as a rally driver. Here is his chariot always wore the number " 54 ", which expressed in Buddhist figures, " Long life " means ".

Chiu Chi Ling forwards his own textile company "Ling 's Fashion ", which exclusively produces children's fashion.

The Chinese government has released a special stamp collection with many famous masters for the 2008 Olympic Games.
