Chorey-les-Beaune

Chorey- les -Beaune is a commune with 608 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) and an area of 5.6 km ². It lies in the northern part of the Côte de Beaune, about five kilometers from Beaune east of the RN 74 at an altitude 199-245 m above sea level and is part of the Côte-d'Or department. Because of its wines Chorey- les -Beaune is very well known. The municipality has Chorey 1995 the additional name les- Beaune added.

Viticulture in Chorey- les -Beaune

The municipality with the same appellation has 134 hectares of land that is bordered on the north by the appellation of Aloxe -Corton. Almost exclusively red wines from Pinot noir, Pinot enriched with Liébault and Pinot gris are generated. Part of the wine is sold under the appellation Côte de Beaune -Villages, another part under Chorey- les -Beaune Côte de Beaune. Grands Crus or Premier Cru are not produced here.
