Chris Blackburn

Christopher Raymond Blackburn ( born August 2, 1982 in Chester ) is an English footballer. The defensive specialist is since 2008 when Aldershot Town under contract.

Career

Chris Blackburn debuted in August 1999 under manager Kevin Ratcliffe for Chester City in the Football League Third Division. After his departure a few weeks later, Blackburn was transferred back into the reserve team and was in the summer of 2000, after the descent of the team in the Conference National, a professional contract. There he established himself in the next three years in the midfield and left the club when his contract expires in 2003. A short trip to the U.S. USL Premier Development League to Nevada Wonders followed by his return to the Football Conference, a multi-month spell at Northwich Victoria before he signed a short-term contract at Morecambe FC in February 2004. At the end of the season he received from Morecambe a new two -year contract, he spent the season break again in Nevada in the United States.

In Morecambe, he played for an injured misery 2004/ 05 mainly in defense, and was able to convince as indoor and rights defenders there. In 2007 he managed to Morecambe with a 2-1 win over Exeter City in the play- off final promotion to the Football League Two. Blackburn decided following the ascent to leave the club and changed as the nominal center-back to the third division Swindon Town. There he could not prevail against the competition and was awarded in March 2008, after only seven league inserts on the FC Weymouth, where he helped to avoid relegation in the Conference National. In the summer of 2008, he agreed with Swindon on canceling the contract and changed free transfer to newly promoted Aldershot Town in the League Two.

Between 2002 and 2006, Blackburn football came to a total of four appearances for " England C", a national selection of players from the non- League.
