Chris Claremont

Chris Claremont ( born November 30, 1950 in London, United Kingdom ) is an American author of superhero comics. Mainly writes Claremont for Marvel Comics, in particular the X -Men, he is regarded as defining author of Uncanny X -Men for 16 years ( 1976-1991 ) the main series supervised. Under Claremont was out of the danger of being set to X -Men title one of the most successful American comic book series that gave birth to several spin-off series.

In particular, Claremont's collaboration with artist John Byrne on Uncanny X -Men is counted among the highlights of American superhero comics. Claremont was also involved in the creation of many popular Marvel Characters. End of the 1980s, Claremont fell out with the then Marvel management and finally left in 1991 the publishing house, after he had created with Jim Lee, the first issues of the series X -Men, which still belong to the best-selling U.S. comic books of all time. After some successful work for DC Comics and Dark Horse Claremont returning in 1998 to Marvel, where he wrote among other things the series Uncanny X -Men and New Excalibur.

Besides Comics Claremont also wrote novels, including the Shadow trilogy (shadow moon shadow twilight and shadow sun ) and George Lucas. In this trilogy, the story of Elora Danan from the movie Willow is retold.
